The excitement I have in my heart for this upcoming year is unmatched! I love a clean slate, the beginning of something fresh and new. That’s what I feel about 2016. If there were any disappointments or dreams not met last year, we have been given another opportunity! There is grace, there is mercy, there is love. I’m so thankful that God gives us the opportunity to get back up and try again. He is definitely rooting us on to love more this year. To extend grace. To forgive others. We are only here for a moment, just passing through….let’s make the most of this year ahead!
“This is the year that I will be stronger, braver, kinder, unstoppable, and fierce!”
“A lot can happen in a year!”
“There are far better things ahead than we leave behind.” C.S. Lewis
“This is your year!”
I thought I’d share a few pics with you of my year so far.
New gear, new year, new goals! Thankful for the new PiYo workout by Beachbody that I was given as a gift. It has been so rewarding, even after just a week! I feel much more flexible, have better focus, and am getting stronger! What workout have you been enjoying? I love to change it up!
Preparing healthy foods is definitely on the top of my list for this new year. This morning, I prepped for the week by making gluten free pancakes from Pamela’s pancake mix and adding in fresh blueberries and pecans. Then I made my “Taste’s like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites” (See recipe above under Recipes tab.) Finally, I put together a Thai Cabbage Salad that is so easy and super yummy. Ingredients: Purple Cabbage, shredded carrots, green onions, fresh cilantro served with a peanut lime dressing. **One helpful tip is always having a salad cut up and ready to go in the refrigerator for the week ahead! You can then add different dressings or a few new ingredients to change it up!**
Another area that has been important to me in the New Year has been journaling and diving into the Word of God even deeper. This is a picture below of a few journals from the past few years. It is so special reading back and seeing certain prayers prayed, hopes, dreams and even hard times. I know I am not the girl that I was just three or four years ago! He is constantly stretching me, raising me up to be more like Him, and speaking into my heart. It is a beautiful journey with Christ.
May you each follow your heart, embrace the many blessings God has in store for you and dream many dreams to live out!
An AMAZING year is waiting for YOU!
Happy New Year!
